The Scheid Winery Finished Goods building is a 45,000 SF premanufactured metal building with insulated metal panel roof and walls. The facility consists of loading docks, dry goods storage room, bottling line, office space, breakroom, and restrooms. Also featured is a 1,200 SF patio complete with colored concrete and a redwood trellis.
In construction you have to be prepared for anything, and on this project we had to build the foundation during particularly heavy rains (currently a rarity in California!).
But as you can see in this time-lapse video, the foundation—and the entire project—came out perfectly. Note that the bolts and knife plates on the redwood trellis are all concealed.
SSB developed and executed a logistics plan allowing Scheid to continue normal operations and “crush” during construction. The project was completed on schedule and under budget. So, in other words, we crushed it!
Yes, SSB can
do that too.
