Monterey-Salinas Transit Operations & Maintenance Facility

This project included partial demolition, remodel and expansion of an existing 34,000 SF maintenance and support center for Monterey-Salinas Transit in Monterey. Project also included the demolition and re-build of a fuel island and bus wash.
Features of the new building include a 16’ high retaining wall, new second story with elevator, drivers lounge, training center, dispatch room, gym, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, parts room, tire carousel, bus charging stations, steam bay, modern lift equipment, and state-of-the-art electronics.
Also included was a new emergency access and electric vehicle charging stations. The site was logistically challenging due to location, accessibility and existing utilities.
