Position: Construction Project Coordinator
Location: Salinas, CA
Compensation: $19-23 per hour (based on experience) plus benefits package, including 401(k) and health benefits

At SSB Construction, we have been building with confidence for over 75 years—and we’re looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. This is an entry-level position where you will assist with estimating and provide project support. From day one, you will be exposed to all aspects of commercial and industrial construction, including roof coating and solar cleaning. Ideal candidates will be dependable, highly organized, and deadline-oriented while displaying integrity and professionalism.
Project Coordinator Job Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with overall project management for small commercial and industrial projects, including running crews
- Work with manager from pre-project to completion, including estimating and running crews
- Work in the field to provide direction and support for crews, holding all employees accountable for meeting their responsibilities and goals
- Maintain project budget and cost control
- Coordinate scheduling and track production rate
- Provide safety and quality control management
- Regularly communicate jobsite progress to the General Superintendent
- Assist in inventory and equipment maintenance
Project Coordinator Job Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Strong organization and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Established basic computer skills and strong math skills
- Ability to present self in a professional manner
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift materials up to 90 lbs
- Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and clean driving record
- Bilingual a plus
- Construction experience a plus
